Hon. Treasurer

Our financial year ended 31st March 2010 and I am now in the process of finalising the accounts for audit and the AGM.

As you know, we set aside £10,250 for any project the society would like to undertake or sponsor.  To date we are digitising all slides and photographs held by members and the Society; this we trust will be of assistance to future historians in their research of Gosport and the surrounding areas.  We have also paid for a reprint of the Haslar book and an organ pipe towards the restoration of the Holy Trinity Handel Organ.  Within the year 2009-2010 we spent £1,355 from this fund.  This has now been replaced, bringing the Project Fund back to £10,250 for the year 2010-2011.

During the year 2010-2011 the Society is sponsoring a flower bed in the town area and we hope to undertake some other project to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Gosport Society within this year.  If you have any ideas with regard to this subject, the committee would love to hear from you.
